Salt

Salt...I know I am a little late, but better late than never I always say. Salt was awesome! Angelina was better than ever in this film. If you thought she was a bad ass in Mr. and Mrs. Jones or Wanted, you havent seen anything yet! She starts out as a mild mannered CIA agent with a loving husband and then goes into being accused of being a Russian spy who is then trying to defend her innocence and as it turns out..the world in trying to make it right. The story line was very well thought out and when you got to towards the end of the movie, you didn't know who to trust. And I have to say that Liev Schreiber was better than ever with his sexy self. I would like to see them make a second one, but I don't think they will. It was one of the one hits wonders in my opinion. Nonetheless, a MUST see!

Your thoughts??

The Karate Kid

As much as I love The Karate Kid with Ralph Macchio, the remake with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan was just as good! I thought it was more than just a remake! The story line kept my attenetion and the "love interest" was just as cute as it wanted to be. I did think it was a little long, but still a good movie! They have st it up to make parts, 2,3, and 4 if the choose to. I DEF go see...
I am going to try and check out "Salt" if I have time this week, I heard it was ALL that! Ttyl

Sex and The City 2

Ok folks it is "Sex and The City 2" and my girls are just as FABULOUS as ever!!!!!! Carrie is sheekier, Samantha is older but sexier, Charolette crazier than ever, and Miranda is better than ever and they are ALL do it like it should be done!!! First of all the outfits that these women are wearing are so sleek and outrageous!!! I love it! Carrie had on at least two pairs of Chrisitan Louboutin shoes and I can't stand it! LOL. But seriously, the movie was just as great as the first one!!!! It was funny, sentimental, sexy, daring, hurtful, and it kept you on you toes! Kim Katrell btw, is looking FABULOUS btw, man!!! Anywho, I highly recommend checking out part two for all you die hard Sex and The City fans and those who are not.....get with it!! I will also add although it may seem like a "chick flick" and to some extent it might be, but trust me, MEN need to check it out as well. I would not be shocked if they come out with another one....Big and Carrie expecting, now there's Trilogy!!!!

Let's Talk About Movies: "A Nightmare on Elm Street"

Let's Talk About Movies: "A Nightmare on Elm Street"

"A Nightmare on Elm Street"

Out of all the remakes of horror flicks that have been remade (i.e. Halloween, Friday the 13th, My Bloody Valetine, The Hills have Eyes, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Black Christmas, originally A Stranger in The Attic, just to name a few) this was the only one that sucked! They used too many of the same scenes from the orignal one, no humor from Freddy that was funny, and wasn't half as scary as the orignal. The only difference was they changed Freddy's character from being a child killer and him getting off to a child molester....and the parents did the exact same thing and burned him. So Freddy was getting even with the parents in the orignal one by killing their kids and this one he is getting revenge by killing the children he molested because they spoke up and told the truth. Not a big leap though. When you do a remake it whs to be a big leap, HUGE so it stands out and this was not done here. Speaking of Freddy, the guy they got to play Freddy was no comparison to the original. They made him look just a little too unreal. He looked like he might be the result of inbredding.....What they should have done, which is similar to what Halloween and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, was go back further in the past and explain how Freddy came to be. Make a movie about the time he was going crazy, how he came to be, killing and molesting children. Then have a trial and explain how he got off, the parents reaction as a result, and then go into how and why Freddy is killing. Not just a parent telling the story to their kid explaing what they did, but actually make that a small part of the movie. Something would take about 30-35 minutes and take the place of too many unnecessary suspence scenes (because I wasn't in suspence). That would have been a whole diff spin, since they couldnt come up with anything else.
I give it **. Wait till it comes on HBO. Not dvd, HBO.

Kick Ass

Ok so it has been awhile since I have reviewed any movies, but I am back. Ok so "Kick Ass" was most shocking because it was actually funnier than I expected. When the local nerd decides he is sick of his ordinary life and tired on being stepped on, he decides to take action. He decides to take a step towards making the streets safe again, but he isn't the only one. There are a few other superheros that are cleaning up the streets and they are bad asses. "Hit Girl" and "Big Daddy" are the ones kicking ass.... But don't piss "Hit Girl" off and make her angry, you wont't like it if she's angry.. Go and check it out. I also see a sequel coming.

"The Hills Run Red"

I bought this movie based off of previews I saw and I was a little disappointed. He was extremely bloody and gory, and it reminded me of "The Hills Have Eyes". If they actually got people that could act it would have made for a better movie. There was however, one person in the movie that has been in other movies, but his name escapes me. Wait till it comes out on HBO...
